Conservative Leadership Pro-Growth Support Local Business Lower Taxes

Help us campaign today for a stable future!
In this time of economic uncertainty, Mike brings a lifetime of economics - learning, teaching and applying economics to his own successful businesses. We have uncertain times with unkown cost increases and revenue forecasts. Mike is uniquely qualified to help the County work our way through this economic recession and hyperinflation. Conservative leadership includes analyzing monthly revenue and expenditures of the county so that we can plan better for the future, spending money carefully always with the intent to support local businesses so that we can increase county revenue without increasing taxes. Conservative leadership means I will never support a tax increase, and will fight to allow you to keep all your hard earned money. County revenues are growing rapidly now because of huge development projects underway and projects in the pipeline (like the 800 acre SDC project on Hwy 76). Sales tax revenue will increase as the inflation rate continues to escalate. That will also generate a windfall in revenue. Our county has suffered from property and sales tax rate increases during the last few years. Increasing taxes is the wrong direction at the wrong time for our county. We will do a better job of managing the revenue we have instead of asking you, the citizens, to pay a larger share.
Supporting the Sheriff's department, local police departments and all the Stone County Fire Protection Districts has always been a high priority for Mike. For many years, he has worked with the SSCFPD Auxiliary to help raise money for the firefighters by providing marketing and advertising donations for their annual chili cook-off. Mike understands the importance of the law enforcement professionals who are risking their lives everyday to keep us and our properties safe. Many young people aren't looking for jobs in law enforcement because the pay vs. the risk is not appealing. Mike will work tirelessly to improve the conditions of our men and women in uniform so that we can recruit new officers and reward those who risk their lives to protect our freedom and property.
Mike will work hard to make it easy for businesses to operate in and move to Stone County, including reducing business and property taxes, working with the Table Rock Chamber to help them raise more awareness to bring more visitors and tourists to Table Rock Lake. Mike has been blessed with a thriving business on HWY 76 (PefectSigns.com) a short distance from SDC and Table Rock Lake, the economic drivers of our county. During the past few years, the Stone County Commission has sent millions of tax dollars to companies in Jasper County to remodel the county jail and other building improvements in Galena. It's embarrassing that the county doesn't hire local contractors to do the work in Galena to keep your tax dollars local. Mike will reach out to local companies and will keep your tax dollars local, thereby multiplying the economic impact of spending tax revenue. Hiring local companies to do the county's work will allow local companies to spend their revenue locally which will multiply the tax revenue with the money multiplier. Sending tax revenue outside Stone County is an insult to local businesses and the tax payers.
Mike has been part of this community for many years, working to make it a better place. He is a founding member of the Table Rock Lake Squadron of the USAF Aux Civil Air Patrol and still serves as a Captain in the all volunteer organization. He has also served as a volunteer in the Master Gardener program teaching citizens about organic and vegetable gardening. Additionally, Mike has been a volunteer Boy Scout Leader and has for many years volunteered to provide signage and labor for the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District annual chili cook-off. Volunteerism is a driving force to enhance and improve Stone County.
Mike teaches the values of integrity, industriousness, perseverance and fiscal responsibility at his college courses. He will apply these values to the County Commission to correct the deficit spending, strengthen law enforcement, reduce small business regulation and taxes while still stimulating marketing and economic growth. Mike is a businessman and has lived in Stone County over 20 years. He is a member of the Rotary Club, Civil Air Patrol, Table Rock Chamber of Commerce and continues to volunteer for the Southern Stone County Firefighters. His love for Table Rock Lake and Stone County has driven him to run for Presiding Stone Commissioner.
We can't win this race without your help. Yard signs, word-of-mouth endorsements, and donating are all ways of helping us achieve our goals together, to have a stable county with all the rights and privileges you've come to enjoy being near Table Rock Lake. Together, we can keep our property taxes low, strengthen our Law and Fire Protection, and keep our economy strong and robust.
